Letter from the CEO of ViewRay In my last communication, I shared with you that an interested party was required to deliver an executed purchase agreement and a deposit by Monday, October 2. Unfortunately, this party was unable to meet this deadline and as a result, ViewRay will immediately cease all operations. We have simply run out of time. To limit the impact on patients and customers, ViewRay will provide MRIdian service support through October 25, 2023. During this wind-down period, ViewRay has a limited budget and unfortunately, only a limited number of teammates will continue to remain employed and receive wages and benefits. We are making those notifications this evening. After this wind-down period, ViewRay will cease to exist as a company and all quality, regulatory, service support, parts, upgrades, and clinical research support for the MRIdian system will no longer be available. I know this is difficult news for all of us and delivering it over email is not my first choice. We've pressed hard all the way to the very end and timing has been a formidable opponent. Over the past few months, we have tried several different paths to continue operating but unfortunately, we have exhausted all possible options. I truly appreciate the work you have done during your time at ViewRay and please know that your efforts have made it possible to bring lifesaving treatments to thousands of cancer patients. For those interested in attending, I will host a voluntary Town Hall in the morning. We'll do our best to answer your questions. |
